I feel that journalist should respect norms and beliefs of different cultures and religion regardless of who died or how famous he/she was.It really becomes disturbing on the family which is grieving for loss.I believe that God brought us to this world to serve a purpose and when you have achieved it,He then takes you back to where you came from...Culture then plays a role as to how the body of the late can be put to rest.No matter the costs,if it does'nt affect you then only your presents is highly appreciated.Michael Jackson is not really the first celebrity to die and most certainly not there last!I don't get the "big deal".Life goes on...here are typical examples: Brenda Fassie, Lebo Matosa etc.
Nowadays issues like the GDP and economy suddenly come up.Where have they been? It's not like this is the first funeral, people are dying like flies daily. Truth is we are all going to die at some point. But the question is will you get the funeral you prefered? It is sad that you will be dead and wont be able to see the outcomes.
