Born in Esikhaweni a small township in Durban, Sinenhlanhla Sibisi is the first born and only girl in a family of three. She went to primary school in Velden Vlei, and on to Ross College until Matric.
She is now at the University of Zululand reading towards a BA (Psychology and Communication Science) and she wants to be a psychologist when she ‘grows up’.

Sibisi was initially sceptical about joining the Future Journalist Programme (FJP), but her lecturer [Mrs Moodley] encouraged her to participate and discover, learn, explore and socialise with other people from different institutions and backgrounds.
What other people don’t know about Sibisi is that she was a shy as a little girl, and did not like being around people. Now? She is outgoing and likes to have fun with friends. She also takes extra classes in Drama.
For her, people learn from their mistakes and should not be ashamed of who they are or where they come from. In life no one is perfect, Sibisi says.
