Elections campaigns are waste of money!

For me all this campaigns for the up comming ellections are now the waste of money, the reason why I am saying this is because if you look all the billboards aside of the road, it only about political party especialy ANC(am not taking side am neutral) But it clear to everyone that posters of JZ are all over and that limits the space of advertising for the 2010 for the comming world cup and other important ads that can be put on boards. No offence to anyone!

nessesEvery country in the world have to have elections. That is where citizens exercise their freedom to chose who they want to govern the country or state so the public need to know who they vote for. In terms of space I don't think that is true World is something that we knew about long time ago but elections is something that will take place next week and then your World Cup and your special event can advertise but for now elections are the most important thing for South African citizens.

Yes that is so true D Bongz, but it's already obvious that JZ is heading up for victory. therefore I second Lucky that ANC might as well relax a bit with their posters. people already know whom to vote for. This election campaign is really a Waste and Zuma's posters all over the country are becoming an eye torture......nothing against him but that's just it.

WOW!!!!!! some strong points mentioned here my veiw yes to a certain extent there is a wastage of election campaign money especially since it is funded by the IEC and none of this political parties are using it to assist the impoverished yet they talk about eradicating poverty and violence. It makes you think "what are these parties spending the money on other then food parcels?"

I fully concur with you Lucky.ANC government is corrupt and now their president has showed everyone in this country that he is indeed above the law. First He orchestrated the release of his partner in crime from custody,Shaick and soon after that charges against him were dropped.... I hate everything that has got to do with the government of this country under ANC leadership period

Hey guyz! I have to say that I am soooooo tired of these posters.Everywhere you go they are in your face. Why now? The people have been sitting waiting for these politicians to be around them when they needed them but they were no where to be found. Now comes election time, and we have to deal with their promises. Its not fair.

guys i do not agree with you on your perception towards the posters. we are a developing country and our way of getting information is still a hindrace.(technology.) elections is the key to our democracy, therefore it is not simple to reach all people via technology. therefore people need to know who are they going to vote for or rather who is going to be their leader. we need to deal with one issue at the time e.g. we can not talk of 2010 yet we don't no who is going to usher us towards that destination(2010).i think people have the right to see who to vote. for example by mere seeing that poster everyday it becomes part of you , to an extent that when you are holding your ballot immediately you seee that picture the one that was in the poster you simply say this is the one i want. i just dont know guys this is my perception. aaaah! i miss you so much guys.

Jeff my friend I did not say there is something wrong with the posters ,yes people need to know who to vote for.But what Im say is that there are too much of posters and if you can count how much do the ANC spent on making this poster, that very same money could have be used in developing this country.Dont get me wrong they did some development but that money which is wasted on posters can be used to do something else.Anyway guys Lucky miss everyone.and you Mosebe my friend I strongly agree on your points i surpot you on them.Chaw

looking at the anc rally attendance i think anc used its money effectively and to their advantage. in all provinces that rallis were hel the staiums were jam packed. now ont you think that the waste of the money was for a good course? well i think so. when you campaigne you have to be noticed an for sure the anc was.

i still stand unshaken and rigid to say that ANC DID A JOB WELL DONE.
